Landmannalaugar - Álftavatn
We begin our trekking on the way to the Álftavatn refuge. First we will reach the foot of the Hrafntinnusker mountain. Next we will continue to Jökultungur among solfataras and mud pools, which is one of the three points with the greatest geothermal activity in the world. We will see the Mýrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajökull glaciers to finish next to Álftavatn lake and enjoy the area.
