Gjógv is a charming village located in the Faroe Islands. This picturesque place is located on the northern tip of the island of Eysturoy and is known for its impressive cliffs and beautiful natural harbour. The name Gjógv means "gorge" in Faroese, referring to the narrow gorge in the centre of the village. In addition to its stunning scenery, Gjógv also has a rich history, as it is believed to have been established in the 17th century. Today, visitors can enjoy walks along the coast, explore the old stone houses and immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere of this charming village.
