Arnarstapi is a small fishing community with a beautiful and striking coastline, made up of basalt columns, gorges and caves that are home to many colonies of seabirds, including black-headed gulls and auks, and the most famous cliff is Gatklettur, famous for its particularly stormy weather. From the car park a path leads to the caves through a small gate over the harbour and along the top of the cliffs.
