Skriðuklaustur is a farm in the Fljótsdalur valley in Iceland. It was the home of the author Gunnar Gunnarsson. It was built and designed in 1939 by the German architect Fritz Höger. The house is now a museum about Gunnarsson. One of the visitor centres in Vatnajökull National Park is at Skriðuklaustur. Since 1992, archaeological excavation of a nearby 16th century monastery has yielded interesting results. Visitors can see the ruins.
