The North Atlantic Ridge that crosses Iceland is an impressive rift between the active continental plates. The ridge is the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian plates and the "Lucky Leif" Bridge, or the bridge between continents, acts to symbolically connect the two land masses while offering visitors a breathtaking view of the rift from the small walkway. The bridge is located at Sandvík on the Reykjanes peninsula.
