Grimsey is the northernmost inhabited part of Iceland, located forty kilometres north of the coast. It is a beautiful, rocky island that has to be seen to be believed. Right on the Arctic Circle, the sun does not set here during the summer solstice, giving the island a unique and magical atmosphere. A perfect place to see the Midnight Sun, the island has about 100 inhabitants, numerous flowering plants and a diverse and colourful bird population.
