A 10.31 km hike with breathtaking views of cliffs, rock formations and glacier tongues. It ends on a terrace with cliffs over 500 m high.
During this 10.31 km hike, travellers will have to overcome a positive difference in altitude of 998 m and a negative difference in altitude of 208 m. As they ascend, they will enjoy breathtaking views of cliffs, rock walls and incredible formations. You will also be able to see the tongues of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the valley from which they originate. Finally, everyone will reach a huge terrace from where they can admire the impressive cliffs over 500 m high, which mark the end of the lava river of the Fimmvörðuháls Volcano.
