A favourite spot for bird lovers, the Látrabjarg cliff is located at the westernmost point of Europe, and is Iceland's largest sea cliff, 14 km long and up to 44 metres high, and one of the busiest bird cliffs in the world. It is Iceland's largest sea cliff, 14 km long and up to 441 metres high, and one of the busiest bird cliffs in the world; in summer, Látrabjarg welcomes around one million birds. In addition to this, seals can often be seen on the nearby rocks and, if you are lucky, whales too. If you visit Látrabjarg, be careful walking around the cliffs. Iceland keeps its nature as natural as possible, and this means that there are often no fences or safety railings at these places.
